Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona, with the Ligue 1 side paying a reported fee of €50 million ($58 million). The 26-year-old has committed to a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes, the club announced on Thursday.
Torres, who lifted the World Cup with Spain in 2022, arrives in the French capital after a two-and-a-half-year spell at Camp Nou. His time at Barcelona was marked by flashes of brilliance alongside persistent injury struggles, limiting his consistency in the starting lineup.
The move reunites Torres with PSG head coach Luis Enrique, under whom he made his senior international debut and enjoyed a breakout season at Barcelona in 2021-22. That campaign saw the Valencia youth product net 13 goals across all competitions, helping the Catalans secure a runner-up finish in La Liga.

At PSG, Torres is expected to bolster an attacking unit that has leaned heavily on Kylian Mbappé in recent seasons. His versatility across the front three offers Enrique additional tactical flexibility as the club pursues its long-awaited Champions League crown.
Speaking to the club’s media, Torres expressed excitement about the challenge, noting the ambition of the project and the chance to work with familiar faces. The deal also provides Barcelona with a significant financial boost as they navigate ongoing economic constraints.
Torres will wear the number 9 shirt, previously held by Mauro Icardi, and is likely to make his debut in the coming weeks after completing a full training regimen. PSG currently sit top of Ligue 1, with their next fixture scheduled against Lyon this weekend.
